In Laymen's Terms
I do here by entrust my pet(s) to Dirty Paws Grooming Salon for grooming my pet(s). I am aware that all due care will be taken with my pet(s) for the safety of pet and groomer. I am aware that neglect of my pet’s coat can be a cause for problems after grooming such as clipper/brush irritation. If my pet is wiggly or doesn’t remain still during the grooming procedure accidents can happen such as nicks from clippers or scissors.
In accordance with the Animal Welfare ACT 2006, I will not dematt dogs. If your dog has small knots, these can be removed, but more than that or matting in sensitive areas will be clipped off using a close blade, this is because the process of dematting a dog’s coat causes unnecessary pain and suffering to the dog. Often leaving the coat thinned and leaving the skin open to infection. It is the Owners responsibility to look after their dogs coat between grooms, I am however very happy to advise on the best care, equipment and grooming techniques for your dog, please just ask. If your dog is repletely matted at its grooming appointments, additional fees may be applied to your normal groom price.
